Boy was this a morning to remember. We woke early that morning to a bit of rain on our tents and by the time we had walked the mile to our sunrise location, the clouds had cleared and the moisture had began to evaporate, producing a fog hanging in the valley. In this image, the valley was still quite dark, but you can see the alpine glow beginning to appear on the tips of the mountains. This warm glow is hardly visible to the naked eye, but is apparent in a long exposure on transparency film.
