On a hike in southern Utah, I found this wet wall, reflecting the blue sky from above. As I neared the large wall, I realized there were dots of yellow where the nearby cottonwood leaves had fallen onto it and stuck, creating a dramatic color contrast that was too beautiful to resist. I set up the shot, and exposed a frame on my medium format camera and was astounded by the results. The deep blues and pops of yellow and orange were stunning on film, and are equally as beautiful in print.
