The tones and subtle light that appears half an hour after the sun sets on a perfectly clear day create some of my favorite photographs. Most of what you see in this photograph wasn’t exactly visible to the naked eye and was actually quite dark, but the light and color is very apparent from this 30 minute exposure on transparency film. I love the American Desert Southwest - so much that I find myself not really wanting to go anywhere else sometimes.
