One of the rarest moments I’ve ever photographed was this frost in my local prairie. In some areas, such as this one, the frost neared 3-4” thick, which I have never witnessed here at home. This is one of a series of 4 exposures I made of this tree (I actually made 12 or so, but these are the best 4) all of which were made in slightly different lighting conditions. This image was exposed just as the sun began to crest the horizon, only lighting the tree with a subtle pink glow.
